CORE FUNDRAISING PROJECT

The major fundraising project for the Fondation is the Connie Thompson New Again sales events.  These events, throughout the country, provide opportunity for Foundation supporters to donate clothing, household items, and children's toys in excellent condition for large "flea market" type events.  Other supporters purchase needed items in like-new condition with the proceeds helping to fund the objectives of the Foundaton.  Still others contribute through their voluntary assistance in planning and conducting the events.  To be successful, these events require a dedicated group of volunteers to begin well in advance in the planning and promotion of activities.

The key to success of the New Again sales events is the event chair person.  This person must enlist the help of a capable team with individual responsibilities in areas such as facilities, promotion, recruiting, operations, and finance.  At least a six-month lead time is usually necessary to conduct an event.  Chairing one of these events is one of the most opportune ways of contributing to the new strategy for the war on cancer.  The Foundation is ready to assist with detailed guidelines and procedures.  Please consider chairing an event in your metropolitan area.  Contact us for more information.
